Anna Hanslik

 

Anna Hanslik is a french anthropologist and documentary filmmaker based in Barcelona. She graduated in Anthropology at University College London (UCL), taking courses in visual ethnography. She then continued her education with a Masters in theory and practice of creative documentary filmmaking at the Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona (UAB). During that year, she was also trained in “expanded documentaries” in which she learned to create webdocs and virtual reality. She directed her first short documentary, “The Hermit”, a portrait of a hermit nun who has lived more than 42 years isolated in nature, This documentary was nominated to various festivals and won the Ducs-U award at DocsBarcelona.
